Attorney Profile

I attended Elizabethtown college graduating in 1991, then the Dickinson School of law graduating in 1994. I started my career in criminal law in 1996 by joining the Bucks County District Attorney’s Office, where I worked under then-District Attorney Alan Rubinstein. During my five years in that office I obtained the rank of Deputy District Attorney.

I handled well over fifty jury trials and hundreds of bench trials; charges ranged from DUI to theft, child abuse, vehicular homicide and more.

In 2001 I joined the Berks County District Attorneys office where I continued to prosecute a variety of cases.

From 2003 untill 2010 I worked for a law firm where I was the lead criminal defense attorney.

In May of 2010 I established the Law Office of Sharif N. Abaza.

I have been successfully defending clients in criminal matters since 2001 in matters involving DUI, theft, assaults, robbery, rape, burglary and murder.
